“How to Fire Your MSP” is a 46-page book and companion Web Site, created and published by Bryan Sullo.
Bryan has 30-plus-years of experience in small-to-medium-business (SMB) IT. He is a cofounder of Clocktower Technology Services, Inc. (est. 1998), which became one of the first Managed Service Providers (MSP) in Massachusetts.
Today, most businesses with over a few employees have a relationship with an MSP. The job of the MSP has shifted from simply monitoring and maintaining technology in the early 2000’s, to include helping organizations set strategic goals facilitated by technology, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity goals and requirements, and integrating cloud systems to enable advanced business information and operations. As the enterprise Network Administrator became the IT Manager and then the CIO and then the CISO, the MSP has taken on similar roles for the SMB community.
The purpose of this site is to help organizations of all sizes—but especially SMBs—get the full value out of their MSP relationships. The name, “How to Fire Your MSP”, is an attention grabber, but the true goal is not always to fire them. Some MSP/client relationships are salvageable and have the potential to yield greater returns than simply moving on to another vendor.
